About Me

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York with over 5 years of experience working as a clinician. My background includes working with survivors or assault/abuse, human trafficking, those with problematic substance use, individuals that identify as LGBTQ, and a wide variety of mental health diagnoses (including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders).

My counseling style comes from a compassionate, authentic, and nonjudgmental approach. Much of my skills and techniques are driven from mindfulness. When working with clients I believe in providing a safe environment for others to be their authentic selves. I also incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy; person centered approach; as well as other therapeutic techniques dependent on the needs of my client. I believe that the client is the expert of themselves and as the counselor; my role is to assist in providing support in addressing problematic life areas and guidance in improving the quality of life.

Seeking help can be challenging and uncomfortable; it takes a great amount of courage to reach out for support. It would be an honor to provide that safe place for you to seek the help you are looking for and provide assistance in empowering you to live your best life!

I cherish Christina. She has been so important in my walk to mental health as a friend and counselor. She genuinely listens and is present for my concerns and thoughts without judgment, with insight and compassion.

I never thought I could connect with a therapist. However, Christina changed all of that. I was in a dark place and took a chance with BH. Christina listens. Really listens. I can tell her anything and know that I’m in a safe space and will not be judged. Multiple times I’ve been on the verge of a panic attack at the start of our session and just seeing Christina calms me down. She is so kind and reassuring and I’m not sure what I would have done had I not been connected with her. When I’m having a tough time, I reflect on our sessions and her advice. Christina has taught me to slow down and put myself first and make time for me.

Christina is very helpful and kind. Has helped me explore many of the issues that I didn’t think about before. Never judged me and I feel comfortable telling her everything.

She is very good at helping me to see and understand problematic behaviors and helps me to get to the solution to fixing them on my own. She has helped me to be a better version of myself.

Christina is awesome! She is a great listener. After only two sessions she has already given me lots to think about and a few strategies to practice. She's pleasant to speak to by live session or by chat, and she responds to texts faster than I do lol!

I've been working with Christina for a few months now and her valuable insight and approach has totally changed my relationship with myself. I came to her with self confidence and self esteem issues, alongside high levels anxiety and depression. I've seen improvements in all areas with her encouragement. I'm kinder to myself, I'm more present and mindful and my lows aren't nearly as low or long lasting. She's really skilled at what she does.

Christina is a very compassionate listener and having her as my online therapist has made me feel much calmer and supported. When I present to her my thoughts she always gets back to me with good questions that allow me to see the situation clearly, and I appreciate the advice she gives me as well. She is a great therapist and I am thankful I have been able to match with her on this service.

Christina is a thoughtful and caring counsellor. She encourages you to reflect on the issues being addressed, acts as a sounding board, and provides helpful tools when possible to support growth of your own autonomy and understanding of one’s own feelings and behaviours.

Christina's been my therapist for a couple of months now. Nobody knows things about me that she does. I feel truly understood. I can't imagine how I was coping without her. Thank you.

I waited to write my review until I had spent a couple months with Christina as my counselor.

Christina has been extremely supportive and understanding throughout these times. Not only is she a careful listener but also really takes the time to work through any thoughts and feelings I have with me, to truly understand what happens underneath.

It's definitely been less scary and quite productive to dive into my mind and figure out what triggers me with Christina by my side. I'm happy to keep working with her and continue on this journey of getting better and being happier.
