About me

Hello! My name is Christina Rankin and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor (LISW-S). I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Ohio Dominican University and my Master of Social Work Degree with a concentration in Clinical Services from Ohio State University. I incorporate an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating person centered, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing methods.

I have worked in the mental health profession for twenty years with adults, adolescents and children. I’ve worked advocating for children in foster care and have provided individual, family and group therapeutic services through crisis counseling, addictions programming, and community-based counseling. I have worked with individuals experiencing trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, substance use, low self-worth, life transitions, and a wide range of other emotional and behavioral health concerns.

I recognize the need and value of a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe it is important to work from a client centered and trauma informed lens. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I work with individuals to strengthen self-efficacies as I believe steadfast in hope and a resilient spirit within each of us. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking a first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Chris is awesome and has been such a wonderful guide. She helps me dive deeper to find the why's and better understand myself. I have recommended her and the platform to my patients.

Christian is courteous and a very good listener. I was hesitant about talking to a therapist but she has made me feel more at ease about talking to her.

Christina gives me valuable homework exercises that lead me to discover issues that I wouldn't have covered on my own. She is non-judgmental, and she asks insightful questions. I never feel judged by her. She is willing to be direct and offer opinions if I want them. I have made lots of progress with Christina, and I look forward to continuing to work with her.
