About me

I am a therapist licensed in Ohio with over 25 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with diverse range of clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce, parenting problems, career challenges, autism, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced separation from their families with a history of neglect, sexual abuse, physical trauma, and emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive and always with a touch of humor. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I also believe directness to show respect for your intelligence and time. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, experiential, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy, and reality therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards finding meaningful change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Thanks for everything I'll be back. Helped me through a rough spot

Christopher has done a lot with getting me to recognize my self worth and point out clearly the issues with my relationship and thinking. He has a way of showing things that that should be obvious that I am ignoring. Even when I feel like he is telling me I made a mistake I never feel bad or attacked. I would hope everyone has a therapist like him.

Excellent experience overall so far. I took a gap to save sessions (EAP was why) and he welcomed me back after a great gap in services. He understands my presenting concerns and assists me in addressing and dealing with my mental health struggles. He is validating and supportive, and shares his experiences in a way that is helpful and useful. In just a few sessions, I have reflect, learned, and understood so much about myself and what my needs are and what my worth is. I would highly recommend Christopher to anyone.

Chris's support has been invaluable, a literal life saver. I had a mental breakdown and he was able to support me gently though firmly, setting me back on track. He was professional though friendly, an excellent listener and sounding board, offering precious insights into my reactions, triggers, and emotions. Thanks to his honesty and transparency, I always felt safe. Within seven months I'm back to healthy. He helped me figured out the source of my discomfort and address/remove them from my life. I will be forever grateful!
