Christopher Yeung
About me
Hi, I’m Christopher Yeung, a BACP registered Psychodynamic therapist with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach.
Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected — often high-functioning on the outside but carrying a deep sense of pressure, shame, or emotional numbness on the inside.
You may not even think of what you’ve experienced as “trauma,” yet your body and emotions tell a different story: fatigue, overthinking, chronic anxiety, difficulty trusting others, or never feeling “good enough.” These are not flaws — they’re survival strategies.
I offer a warm, grounded space where you can gently explore your inner world at your own pace. My approach blends deep listening with psychodynamic understanding — helping you make sense of your past, so it no longer controls your present.
In therapy with me, you don’t need to be “fixed.” You just need space to feel, understand, and reconnect with the parts of yourself you may have pushed away for years.
What I Help With:
Trauma (including emotional neglect, complex PTSD)
Anxiety, overthinking, and burnout
Depression and emotional numbness
Self-esteem and inner critic work
Relationship wounds and attachment issues
Navigating life transitions and emotional overwhelm
How I Work:
My style is gentle, reflective, and attuned to your emotional needs. I don’t rush or pressure — instead, I meet you where you are. I believe healing happens in a space of safety, curiosity, and connection.
We’ll look at patterns in your life, relationships, and early experiences — not to stay stuck in the past, but to reclaim your voice, needs, and inner safety in the present.
I offer both short-term and long-term work, depending on your goals. Our sessions can be in English or Mandarin — whichever helps you express yourself more fully.

Christopher is a very good listener, calm, and reassuring. I felt safe and understood during the session, and I noticed a sense of relief and comfort even after the first session. It felt easy to talk openly, and I’m looking forward to continuing the work together.

Christopher has been great to work with.
In the time I have spent with him, he has helped me dive towards the core of my anxiety.
I look forward to working with him further and would recommend him to others looking for clarity to the root cause of their anxiety.
