I am an individual and family counselor licensed in the state of Missouri. I have over 15 years of experience as a clinical therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings along with treating both adolescents and adults. Over the years I have worked with individuals, both adolescents and adults, with a wide variety of struggles including depression, anxiety, behavior modification, relationship issues, and anger management just to name a few.
My counseling style is welcoming and adaptive. I strive to treat individuals with respect, compassion, and a holistic approach without judgment or bias. I may not always tell you what you want to hear, but will always remain committed to telling you what you need to hear. I will always work to have our communication and treatment expectations adapt to you as an individual and your specific needs.
It is never the easiest thing to take the first step towards change and humbling ourselves. With that in mind, I am here to help be a guide, coach, teacher, cheerleader, and a library of tools to help you tackle whatever life may throw at you.
I look forward to working with you.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Colby (CJ) Green. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
He listens everything and takes time to see what my problem is before jumping to conclusions
Very easy to talk to. No judgement in his voice. He always lightens my mood and helped me a lot.
aAlthough I just had a few sessions with him, I felt a lot better than before. He’s a thorough listener and really calms me down whenever I felt panic.

CJ is a great listener, and he's able to give new and fresh perspectives. Definitely worth recommending!
CJ has been awesome! He actively listens, provides exercises & feedback that helps me to better understand the things I’m struggling with & identify long term coping skills. He’s easy to talk to, I never feel judged & I feel like we have covered more ground based on the way he conducts therapy.
CJ is highly empathetic and very competent in helping me walk through the issues that I am currently facing. He is also very professional and ready to help me challenge some of the thought patterns that are engrained in my way of being, but are not useful. Overall, a huge thanks to CJ for helping me!

CJ is a great listener, he provides a lot of insight and has helped me a lot to understand what I need and has helped me analyze my trail of thoughts. He is very easy to talk to and I feel very comfortable with him as my therapist.
CJ is an excellent counsellor and very knowledgeable. He has great insights, relatable anecdotes, supportive / nonjudgmental and is a great friend to lend an ear. Would certainly recommend his services any day of the week.
CJ is awesome! He listens, is open minded, understanding, and personable. He gives great advice/direction. Very grateful for his experience, and relatability!
I was extremely dubious about starting therapy in general, let alone alone via an app. I went to start with BetterHelp 3 times and backed out, until one day I knew I had no other choice than to seek help.
I was quickly matched with CJ and honestly at first, I had no expectations whatsoever. I'd left therapy feeling very let down in the past, so I was somehow expecting to feel the same this time around too. However, after my first session with CJ I knew that I had been matched to the best fit for me. He takes an extremely positive, open-minded and supportive approach and tells you what you need to hear whilst taking your own character into consideration. In just three sessions I've realised so much more about myself and opened up about so much more than I have ever done before. I've gone through three months of therapy in the past and not even got close to this many promising realisations and conclusions. Some things have been really hard for me to say, and I think they're things I never thought I'd say out loud, as previously I still felt as though my therapists would judge me. This time, however, I knew I wouldn't be judged, and I wasn't.
I never thought I'd laugh about the way I feel, or that I could even see "my issues" in a positive light. I find it extremely easy to take on board what he's saying and I feel he's taking me in a very positive direction. Thank you CJ!
Transparent and real. Insightful even with a little information.
