About me

I am a professional counselor licensed in Texas. I have been working with clients from all walks of life for the last 6 years. I believe in meeting you where you are and won't have preconceived ideas about what topics should be the focus of your sessions. It is my goal for you to get the most out of the process, it is your time and you are investing in yourself. In my opinion one of the most important aspects of the counseling process is the relationship between myself and you. I want you to be able to trust me and feel my encouragement and compassion for you. I will work alongside you delve into past hurts in order to heal and be relinquished from those burdens as much as possible.

I have worked with clients presenting an array of concerns including anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, parenting, relationship issues, kids, adolescents, life transitions, LGBTQ, prenatal and postnatal concerns. My counseling experience is in a private practice as well as a school setting. Whether you are experiencing some current struggles or just want to focus on personal growth, I would be honored to help out in any way possible.

I commend you for beginning this journey, you are courageous for searching for help. I am here to answer any questions that you may have about me or what to expect from the counseling process.

I have been in therapy with Courtney Edwards for a year now I can say she’s very awesome at her job. She listens ver intently, and empathizes while leading you through exploration of how to solve the problem. You can tell that she truly wants you to succeed and be happy. I was very nervous to start therapy, but talk therapy with Courtney has made me feel empowered towards moving out of my anxiety and fears and into better decision making for my life. Definitely worth it.
