About Me

I am a family and marriage therapist licensed in California with over 6 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and substance abuse issues. I also helped those who have experienced sexual issues and physical trauma or emotional abuse, and those in need of Christian-focused counseling. I have also worked with residential and outpatient clients.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and non-judgmental. I believe that the client is the expert on themselves and therefore won't someone what they should do. My approach is primarily solution-focused. Together as a team we will create goals. Not everything works with everyone so it is important to state what you like and don't like in order to create a treatment plan to meet your needs.

I want to congratulate you on taking the step to change in order to reach your goals of becoming happier and more free. I look forward to being able to support and empower you on this journey.

Cynthia provided great support to me as I sought counseling to deal with an eating disorder, depression, insomnia and relationship concerns. She is warm and caring and consistently checks in on you to make sure you are doing OK and progressing toward your goals.

Cynthia offers a kind, patient, non judgmental approach to helping. She is an incredible listener able to sort through the details and minutia of conflict to arrive at the ultimate issue all while validating my feelings and thoughts. Cynthia offered practical skills for me to use in my relationships and checked in on me frequently. Cynthia is a counselor who truly cares and it’s obvious it comes from the center of who she is as a person. I am grateful to have engaged with her.

Cynthia is an incredible therapist. She has helped me so much on my journey through processing my past trauma and building a better foundation for self-love and self-care. She has been there for me every step of the way and always checks on me throughout the week to make sure I’m okay. It has been so amazing to have a therapist like Cynthia especially during quarantine when it’s so easy to feel alone.

Cynthia is an amazing counselor. She is very responsive and checks on me when I do not reply in a timely manner. Even after not having connected over the past two months, she responded to me same day last Friday when I really needed her. I am grateful and thankful for her.

Cynthia is so easy to talk to which is what I need right now-to talk. She responds to my texts and checks in all the time which is so appreciated. It is great to know that she is there even when I don’t initiate the text first.

I feel like Cynthia understands me because she communicates with me that I personally need. I feel heard and I genuinely feel like the advice she gives me is realistic and applicable to my life. It’s been about 3 weeks but I’m already doing some self-reflecting and switching the things up in life to better me!

Cynthia is such a non-judgemental and kind person. I have been struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and healing/dealing with my past. Cynthia has been so helpful on how to find a solution, giving me stuff to reflect on, and overall giving me the advice or words I needed to hear this whole time. She implements from our own beliefs (if you feel like it can help) and also different ways to cope with certain aspects within your life. She will immediately contact you and replies easily sooner than you think. She tells you like it is in a kind-personal manner as if you were talking to a friend, it's such an open space.

I am so grateful that I found Cynthia! She is caring, non-judgmental, smart. She listens and offers strategies to move through challenges. Strong accountability partner too.
