Damita Bonnemere, LMFT

Damita has been an absolute gift in my life during a time of extreme upheaval and uncertainty. As a therapist myself, it’s been difficult to find a practitioner who’s willing and skilled at holding my personal and professional issues in balance, who fosters my growth, inspires my creative thinking, and encourages me to draw firm lines to protect what’s important to me. Damita’s years of experience shine through just as fiercely as her warm heart, and she is consistently helpful when I bring in complicated situations, big questions about life and work, and even when I’m struggling to articulate complex concerns. I have referred other women to Damita, and have full trust they will also benefit from their sessions. As a survivor of sexual assault, intimate partner abuse, childhood trauma, and many other complex and intertwined experiences, I always feel safe and seen during our sessions. Damita is able to help me work through trauma with grace, strength, and compassion, and always reminds me of the value of boundaries. We laugh a lot during sessions, which is a testament to how comfortable and honest she helps me feel. I wouldn’t have been able to navigate my professional work and personal growth this year without her weekly support. I am endlessly grateful for this opportunity and that Damita is generous with her time and availability through BetterHelp. The flexible schedule has been a game-changer. As we often joke in sessions, I know I won’t NEED Damita’s support for the rest of my life, but I certainly want it. :)

Damita is an excellent clinician who listens very well and develops a deep understanding of your individual situation. She helped me talk through some difficult emotions and developed a plan to deal with my anxiety and substance use. Highly recommend.

Damita is a very intuitive and intelligent therapist with depth in the scopes in the field. I have a whole lot of respect for Damita and her holistic methods sincerely of creating a the higher regard to the ultimate greater good for society and all people. In other words, Damita is down to earth and reaches the higher octave in her calling as a therapist. I enjoy Damita very much.

Working with Damita has been a total joy and very insightful. This is my first experience with therapy and have been pleasantly surprised how impactful the overall journey has been so far. Damita arrives to every session fully present (and on time) and has great recall of our past conversations. I especially enjoy the gentle coaching she has provided me that never feels coercive but is practical and clearly defined. Would highly recommend working with her to everyone!

I have been to several therapist’s over the years. Damita is by far the best experience I have had to date. She is extremely knowledgeable and an amazing listener. She has helped me work through some major trauma over the past year and I have come out of the experience with such strength, wisdom, and confidence that I can handle anything and I am always growing and learning.
