About me

As a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes. My professional approach centers on compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. With a decade of clinical experience, I'm committed to creating a supportive, affirming therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences and develop meaningful strategies for personal growth.

My practice is grounded in understanding the unique journey of each individual, with a particular sensitivity to the needs of those who have experienced trauma. I have worked with all ages of clients. I have a background in behavioral health with children and teens with mood and behavioral difficulties as well as traumatic experiences. I also have extensive work with adults with most types of mental health concerns and have vast experience in trauma therapy with adults. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, honoring each person's strengths and resilience while providing gentle, professional guidance through life's most challenging moments.

I believe in empowering clients to discover their inner resources, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and create positive transformations in their lives. Whether you're struggling with stress, processing past experiences, or seeking to enhance your emotional well-being, I'm here to support you with expertise, empathy, and genuine care.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Deborah is the first therapist I've seen that actually wants to help find methods to combat the anxiety. She's helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I'm very grateful to find her services.

the perfect therapist

I feel Deborah is a very caring and skilled therapist. She has a really warm and accepting vibe which is really important for me in therapy. She always has a way of calling me out on things though too and making me see where being responsible for my own behaviors and actions are important. But she does so in a way that helps me reflect and grow as a person. I’m grateful to have found her because I have had many therapists throughout my life and some have been really uncaring and literally “watch the clock” and put in their time and do the bare minimum but that is not my experience with Deb. I also value being able to participate in support groups on this platform as well and what I find especially helpful is being able to message Deb through the week and she always responds timely and gives supportive and helpful advice. I have never had that with a previous therapist.

Excellent listener, effective communicator, remembers past sessions vividly. We pick up where we left off. Highly recommend.
