About me

Hi, my name is Deborah Cruz-Bowen and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oklahoma. I have worked in medical, psychiatric, geriatric, and military settings. My experience includes working with adults, seniors, caregivers of those with dementia, Veterans, Native Americans, and individuals that engage in alcohol and/or substance abuse. I am also an LGBTQ+ ally. My approach to therapy is one of authenticity and compassion. Sometimes life knocks us down (myself included). Reaching out for help is not easy, but the reward is not being alone.

I primarily use the following concepts to help my clients: Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

If you are having trouble coping, please reach out to me. Together we can work toward getting you some relief. I offer Monday through Friday appointments from 10am to 4pm. I look forward to working with you!

Deborah has been my only therapist for almost a year now, and I could not be happier! She's extremely sweet and understanding, and I really could not recommend her more!!

Working with Deborah has been nothing short of transformative. Her deep empathy, sharp insights, and expert techniques have guided me through some of my most challenging moments. Under her guidance, I've made incredible strides in my mental and emotional well-being. Deborah is, hands down, the best therapist I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Deborah is kind, respectful, and patient. She creates a safe environment that allows me to discuss personal issues without feeling ashamed, judged, or embarrassed. I’ve seen a few therapists in my life, but she’s serious the best. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve made a lot of positive changes in my life and am in the process of healing old wounds. I highly recommend her.
