I am a clinically trained social worker with more than 40 years of experience. My treatment specialties include depression, anxiety, and grief counseling. I assist with the resolution of work-related concerns. I am also a trained life coach, helping people make decisions related to changes they would like to have in their lives while achieving work/life balance. I also provide behavior modification, problem-solving, and motivation therapy. I work with couples of all kinds, knowing that being a couple or family cannot be defined only in the traditional sense. I take a broad view in this area.
The basis for my efforts is insight therapy. I encourage those who work with me to consider how their decisions and actions enhance or impair the attainment of their goals. This type of understanding is critical for making meaningful life changes.
My work is for and about you! We will go as far and as fast as you are able. Although I offer clarity in recognizing the issues that concern you, I will never take you where you do not want to go. Our work will be free of judgment, allowing you to speak and respond openly. I will always respect you and value what you share with me.
You have made the right decision by embarking on a therapeutic relationship. I hope you choose me to help guide you on that journey.

It’s a good experience. I like to say things out loud and get feedback. She’s great at listening and helping you see the little things, that really are a big deal
Delores is amazing. I have been in counseling before but have never felt as positive about the process before. Not only does Delores listen, she asks the questions that require thought and reflection. Delores is extremely gifted.
Delores is consistent and insightful. She asks open ended questions that really make me think and I feel seen/heard and safe to open up. She responds consistently which tells me she values my time as well as her own. She is both professional and relatable, she gives me straight talk when I need it and offers gentle empathy in moment I share pain. While I am the one who chose to seek help and change my behaviors, it’s a relief and blessing to know someone is listening, offering guidance, being a sounding board for me to collect my thoughts and see my actions.
Delores is completely nonjudgemental and really helps you think through your immediate feelings and perspectives. I'm so grateful to work with her and am comfortable either letting her structure our sessions, or structuring our sessions on my own -- she's content to do either.
Ms Delores, is so caring, she listens, gives feedback, resolutions and homework, the work we are doing is changing my life and giving the tools I need to be successful!
Delores is a wonderfully supportive and amazing counselor. She has been a great sounding board and has helped me get thoughts and feelings out and work through them in a safe, non judgmental space after years of trying to do things on my own. It’s been extremely freeing and invaluable and I can’t thank her enough.
Seems like a very experienced woman that would take all the knowledge and time she's got to help those who need it. She's supportive and you can talk with her knowing that whenever or wherever you do it, you can think of it as a safe place, where judgement's out of the table.
She's a great listener. Very prompt for appointment times and in response to messages. I feel very comfortable with her.
I think my counselor was very supportive. The day I spoke with her I had high anxiety. I think she understood why I was so anxious and had compassion towards what I was going through. And I’ve been very impressed that Dolores has reached out and checked on me a few times. If I was isolating by her reaching out would engage me. I think that is very kind of her. I also feel that it makes me feel cared about.
I think she has qualities that makes her rare because many people wouldn’t devote the time in connecting with their clients.
she is amazing
She's great, I feel comfortable with her.
We're just at the beginning but I have high hopes already.
Thank you Dr. Smith.

Delores is very open to considering issues on your terms and given me great advice that has helped me resolve the problems I have been dealing with.
