Dr. Dianne Doyle

(Ph.D.)

About Me

Hi! I am a licensed psychologist, certified Master Addiction Counselor, and author. I have 20-plus years of experience working in private and public agencies, including hospitals, rehabilitation programs, and halfway houses. I have helped many people with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other addictive behaviors, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I have also taught counseling courses and provided clinical supervision at a college level and I am the author of a textbook on addiction counseling: Mastering Addictions Counseling.

My counseling approach is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with empathy and respect. I am non-judgmental and genuine. My primary therapeutic approach is motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Motivational interviewing helps you identify what it is you value and from that starting point, what goals you are motivated to achieve. We work together to create a treatment plan adapted to your individual needs and goals. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on your beliefs or thoughts and the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. We know that by changing our beliefs, we can change our feelings and behaviors.

It takes courage to seek a more purposeful and satisfying life and to take the first step toward change. If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
