About me

Hello,
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) in South Carolina. I am also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. I have been licensed for more than twenty years and have provided therapy in a number of settings to include a mental health clinic, military bases and not-for-profit agencies. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with individuals, families and couples. I have facilitated psychotherapy groups and provided individual therapy. I am certified in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I am grounded in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as well as Trauma Focused CBT.
I genuinely enjoy working with others and have been successful helping people attain their goals. In addition to DBT and CBT, I have a rich background in Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
I believe that it takes courage and commitment to confront oneself and bring about change in a therapeutic relationship. I am nonjudgmental, empathetic, compassionate and sensitive to the effort it takes to engage in therapy. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals that are genuinely committed to self examination and change.
