Hello and Welcome! My name is Ebony Clayton, LCSW and I’m thrilled about the opportunity to work with you. If you’re reading this, you have taken the first step towards healing and personal growth. I have training and experience in working with: depression, anxiety, relationship problems/marital difficulties, God-image issues, interaction with the foster care system, infertility, adoption and post adoptive support, and working with adolescents.
I bring a well-rounded perspective into my therapy practice that integrates a wholistic (whole person centered) and eclectic approach, utilizing strategies that consider the interconnectedness of physical, spiritual, and mental/emotional health. Finding balance between these three is an important key to overall well-being.
I use several evidenced based therapies in my practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Every person is unique in themselves and in their set of circumstances therefore I emphasize the key role of the minds cognitions in determining behaviors, and the interconnectedness between a person’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I structure my sessions based on client need while using unconditional positive regard and a nonjudgmental stance.
- Stress, Anxiety
- Relationship issues
- Self esteem
I also have experience in Family conflicts, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Sleeping disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties

This therapist has helped me tremendously in a short time. She gets the way things work and searches for solutions that apply. She helps you understand that sometimes it's not just you, that others have issues too.
Thank you, Ebony, for helping me get on the right track within myself. I am all ears! Namaste!
I love my Ebony, she's so sweet and understanding and always has the best tools to help with any of my questions. Always knows exactly how to help. She's so awesome :)
Ebony is incredible and I am so happy that we've been able to work together so far!
Ebony is so wonderful! She’s easy to talk to and has a calming presence. You always feel heard and respected when speaking to her, and she’s amazing at showing you what might be wrong with your thinking without making you feel bad about it. Instead, you feel empowered and able to make progress in your life!
Ebony is amazing. I would recommend her to any person I know who's going through issues.
I find my sessions with Ebony as refreshing. She is an attentive listener and able to give insight on my problem. She always makes sure that before ending our session she gives me tools and assignments to work on during the week before the next session. She checks in on me during the week if I haven't gotten around to it.
Ebony has a pleasant and calming voice and demeanor that helps soothe the savage beast in me. I have learned so much about the importance of communication with my husband and our relationship has grown toward a more positive outlook during my sessions with Ebony.
I would recommend Ebony to others.
She is awesome.
Ebony Clayton was a great help to me. She helped me through my grief and gave me a safe space to share my thoughts with no judgment. She cared that I was doing okay in my day to day life as well as tackling my more serious problems in my life. I am grateful to her.
Ebony is great! She has been so open and willing to help since the beginning. She is always there and checks in all the time, all her answers to the messages are full of information and help. My sessions with her have always been very fulfilling. I was getting into a very dark place and since I found this platform and Ebony, my life has definitely started to go back on the good track. Thank you!
Ebony is great. She words things in a way that relates to you so it’s much easier to contemplate what she suggests to you. I recommend her.
Ebony does a great job listening to and understanding not only what I write and say, but what I don't say and her ability to subtly point out what is between the lines of my own dialogue is exactly what I was hoping for (but didn't know it) when deciding to seek therapy.
Ebony is extremely patient with me! She’s offered many things to help change my perspective which is greatly needed through my current time of need. Things I know, but tend to forget sometimes when I stay wrapped up in my head or issue. She’s like a magic button ready waiting to help you when you need it. Convenient And reliable magic from fresh perspective. Just what I need.
Ebony is a wonderful spirit. She is encouraging and when you talk you know she really, really listens!
Ebony is the best counselor I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She is able to pin-point my issues in an objective manner, then follows that assessment up with constructive advice. Boasting a certain air of confidence, it is clear simply by speaking with her that she is a thoroughly experienced professional, and is someone you can trust to work on your problems alongside you.
I've only been on BetterHelp for a two weeks now and my experience so far has been pretty great. I was half expecting this service to be a sham, however I was surprised by the professionalism of my counselor, Ebony Clayton. The service you'd expect from going to an actual Counselor's Office, you can expect from this service provider or from this counselor. I'd give her, 10 out of 10 stars.
Ebony is amazing! She jumped right in from Day 1 and has been helping me stay focused and solve problems. I love that she keeps me on track, and that she responds every day - even if only to say she acknowledges what I've said and we'll talk about it in a live session. I like that she gives me real, concrete suggestions and gentle pushback even while being my biggest emotional support.
I've already recommended BetterHelp to friends and co-workers. The platform is very professional and confidential, and everything just *works*, giving me a lot of confidence in the service.
Ms. Clayton is absolutely amazing. This is my first time ever teaching out for counseling/therapy, and she's made me not regret a moment of it. I am seriously so incredibly grateful for her and her attention and care she gives. I definitely would recommend her!
