About Me

Hi there! I'm glad you've taken a step toward self-care by reaching out to us at BetterHelp. I've been a licensed mental health counselor in private practice for 16 years and have over 20 years of experience providing therapy for a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, and marital and family conflict. I am a warm and active listener, and believe that the counseling process should be collaborative. In the therapeutic relationship, we will work together to discover your strengths and weaknesses, the things that drive you, and the solutions to your struggles. I am compassionate , non-judgmental, and ready to help you along your journey. In addition to Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, I use a variety of counseling theories and work hard to tailor the counseling process to fit what each person needs.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southwestern Seminary, but I also have plenty of life experience that is sometimes even more important than my degrees! Life is hard and full of trials for all of us, but I have learned that each difficulty we face can bring about deeper maturity and enduring hope for the future. I look forward to being a part of your journey!

I tell many friends and family about my wonderful experience with my counselor Elizabeth Griffin and even a local dr in town was like WOW impressed by my expressing our progress. I am so thankful for this opportunity to connect with such a wonderful thoughtful and experienced counselor online during this difficult pandemic.
