About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin using my skills to provide Psychotherapy for 3 years throughout Wisconsin. I have helped patients with their concerns including anxiety, stress, relationship issues, depression, grief, loss, and healing from traumas. I specialized in trauma-related healing from domestic violence, initiate partner violence, and abusive, toxic relationships. I have had experience with supporting people who face financial and employment stressors and have a certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I've worked to be supportive to people who experience traumatic injuries and coping with those as they return to work.

My approach is through a trauma-informed lens that promotes healing through mind, body, and thoughts. I utilize techniques from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help make progress towards your goals.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you in making progress towards your goals and will always be your encouragement as you face difficulties towards the progress you want. I value a trusting relationship and ensure a safe environment where you are able to be vulnerable to experience emotions and healing.

Emily is great! Was very supportive letting me guide the conversations. She asked questions that really changed my perspective on things I had been doing for years, but always with encouragement and I never felt judged. I always looked forward to talking with her.

She is absolutely wonderful, she never judges me, my thoughts, or my actions. She gives me lots of references that I can look back too when I’m going through a hard time. She is very easy to talk to, and checks up on me on a regular basis. She doesn’t force me to talk about anything, and tells me that I can tell her as little or as much as I feel comfortable with.
