Some of us experience difficult times in our lives and we can feel alone. We may feel hopeless, disoriented, or challenged. Imagine a space where you can share your feelings, your concerns, and your thoughts with a professional. A space where you feel comfortable to share and to discuss difficult issues in your life. I am here to help. I have been working in the mental health field for 9 years and have been working as a clinical therapist for 5 years. I have had the pleasure of working with adults, teenagers, and children (ages: 5-17).
I began my undergraduate career by receiving my Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Berkeley. Afterward, I began working in the mental health field as a case manager for four years while I began graduate school at Pepperdine University. I transitioned to a marriage and family therapist towards the end of my Master's program and completed my degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Shortly thereafter, I became licensed by the Board Of Behavioral Science as a marriage and family therapist. I continue to build my skills and knowledge through many trainings and educational courses as well.
As a bilingual therapist, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations and diagnosis'. Some of these include: trauma, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse, identity issues, and behavior issues. I use CBT modalities, client centered therapy, and also EMDR depending on client needs.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Best of luck to you on your new journey.

I love it. Estela deserves a promotion. I talk about it this service all the time.
Estela is very professional, patient and knowledgeable.
I love working with Estela! She is very quick to reply, which I appreciate!
Estela quickly gets to the root cause of your hangups and issues. I was surprised at how quickly she was able to put her finger on the source of why I think the way I do.
Although I've only had one phone session with Estela I'm very pleased that she is totally open and excepting to my personal issues. I feel like I can be 100% honest with her.
Estela has been extremely helpful through my journey to finding myself and understanding more of who I am.
Estela is compassionate, insightful, and has been a great sounding board for me navigating a very tricky time in my life.
I'm a very private person in general which has made reaching out for help extremely difficult. Estela has helped me feel comfortable enough to share my thoughts. She has been a great help in a short amount of time.
I'm enjoying the counseling relationship.
Estela has been extremely helpful with my needs. She has given me ways to find the confidence I was lacking and is helping me be a better person with each post. I couldn't recommend her more. Thank you.
Estela, is a wonderful therapist. I have only had one session with her, but it has enabled me to think through some really tough life issues without the stress. Thank you, Estala, for your kindness and patience.
I have been working with Estela Isla for a short time but I am immensely grateful for her. Her insights and professional guidance have really aided in the dilemma I initially signed up to address. She is very prompt and knowledgeable. I would recommend this service (assuming all are as good as Estela Isla!) to everyone I know. Thank you so much!
It has been so nice and helpful to have someone to talk/write to in bad times and be listened to. Takes a big weight of my shoulders. I can see how good her expertise and knowledge about situations like mine is. Her advice is always good and sets me in a better path than the one I am when I am desperately writing. Thank you, Estela.
It has been great working with Estela!
