About Me

"As we think, so we are." is a theme central to my counseling practice. As an individual therapist with 25 years of experience, I have helped people arrive to a place of self-discovery. Together, my clients are able to tap in to traumatic experiences, family of origin issues, relationship challenges and explore their emotions to release, re-focus and find relief. I graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a Masters of Social Work. My formal training, coupled with counseling hours have provided strategies and solutions to relieve depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation and focus. Let's work together on your journey to health and healing.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Faizah Mawusi. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Even though we only “see” each other once a week, Faizah checks in with me daily through my journal readings, and as some in the middle of a family crisis, I really appreciate that! Especially because I trust and respect her insights and expertise. She listens, gives great feedback, and offers tools that work! Thank you, Faizah—you are an awesome mentor and coach!

Faizah has been a huge help. I came to her feeling lost and like I was never doing enough to achieve what I wanted. She made me realize that all the answers were already in me and she was a big part of helping them come up for me. She has helped me find more flow in my life and more grace. I’m extremely grateful.

I’ve only had one official session with Faizah but I can tell she really cares and wants to help. She asks me questions to help better understand my thoughts, feelings, and what is going on in my life so she can help me in the way I need. I would definitely recommend her to others!

Ms. Faizah is absolutely amazing! My first impression of her is definitely warm and genuine. I’ve only just begun therapy but I’m excited to work with her and work on my set goals.
