Gail Cleveland, LCMHC, LMHC
About me
Hello! My name is Gail and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and I have over 15 years of practice in the field of counseling individuals with a variety of issues. I have worked in a variety of settings to include working in Disaster Relief, Crisis Intervention, Corrections Based, Sexual Assault, Special Needs/Autism, Mental Health and Addictions, Child Advocacy, and Trauma, and various relationship issues and Post Traumatic Stress.
I obtained my degree in Community and School Counseling as well as to gain my License in Mental Health Counseling in Vermont and New York and have practiced in both. I have also had a variety of certifications and training's over the years, that have graced me with the ability to work with individuals who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Alzheimers/Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Intellectual Disabilities, and currently issues surrounding the pandemic. My approach to counseling is that all individuals at some point can use an ear, a sounding board to work out an issue. Some issues may be bigger than others, some may appear bigger to one than another, but everyone can benefit from someone to listen and help work through that issue with, without judgement.
I would be honored to lend an ear and help assist you in working out what is troubling you.

Gail is a wonderful human! She has helped me so much! Therapy was not helpful for me in the past, but Gail makes me feel heard and understood, and gives excellent advice and strategies to try. She is very knowledgeable and has a calming presence. I would recommend her, always!

Very good at listening, offers a lot of methods to cope with negative emotions, and assigns meaningful “homework” to help understand yourself.

In the month that I have been talking with Gail, she listens attentively to my problems and responds with knowledgeable advice. I explained at our first session how easily I get worked up with anxiety and taught me an exercise that I’ve programmed my mind to use whenever I feel anxious.
I highly recommend!
