In addition to offering in-person therapy sessions, I also serve as Clinical Director of a private practice covering several counties in SW Missouri, with the main office in Bolivar Missouri. In this position, I provide clinical supervision to Provisionally Licensed Counselors in multiple Southern Light locations in SW Missouri.
A recent change in my life came when I became aware of the Better Help platform. It was then that I transformed my 1930's Victorian Joplin office in a quaint, nostalgic neighborhood with all the "character of old-Joplin" into an Air BnB and invited my clients to begin "On-line Counseling" on the Better Help platform. Some people have asked the reason for this change since the Joplin office setting was widely recognized as a therapeutic experience for clients. Simply put, I believe the most therapeutic venue is where the client is most comfortable. On-line Counseling makes this possible by serving clients in the comfort of their own homes during non-traditional office hours. I welcome this new tradition of on-line Counseling due to the many benefit it affords my clients.
So grab your favorite soft drink, get a pen and paper, settle into your easy chair, and contact me. I am ready to help you.

She has been really helpful so far. She makes sure that we are on track and talking about what I think is relevant. She asks important questions to help determine what my problems are. She even makes sure that I schedule sessions to communicate more directly.
Gail is wonderful! She is helpful with sorting out my thoughts and feelings.
Gail does a good job highlighting my issues and helping me set goals. I did feel like I was being pandered to at first but that has passed and I feel she is genuinely caring and helpful.
Gail is a wise woman who shares her insight not only through tips or advice, but through parable and stories. This helps me see my situation from an outsiders perspective which helps me to make necessary changes and steps I need to take.
Gail was so helpful to me. She has been so supportive of me, and has helped to identify my areas of improvement and has given me tangible actionable techniques to try to resolve them. I cannot say enough how comfortable I was speaking with Gail, she is such an amazing listener and is super approachable. It has been a joy working with her.
Very helpful in my time of need. She let me focus less on the detail of my troubles and more on myself.
I have been pleasantly surprised at how well therapy with Gail has helped me move forward after losing my husband! I would recommend her to anyone who has been struggling with difficulties in their life!
Because of how awesome and caring Gail is, I’ve recommended this service to so many people. It has helped me so much to just get things out and not be judged. It always makes me feel so much better.
Gail is incredibly supportive and an excellent listener. She asks thoughtful questions that help you get clear on your situation. She responds quickly and I love that she checks in on me often.
Gail is the best counselor I have had. She understands my journey and gives me such great wisdom. She just knows what I need to hear and gently guides me in each session, with encouragement along the way.
I can’t tell you how amazing Gail is! When I started with her she listened to my concern. She has pointed out and helped me on so many ways. I would recommend anyone and everyone to her!
Gail is amazing. She is attentive, caring and wise. When I message her or video chat with her, it feels like I am speaking with a friend who's goal is to support me and help me soar. She checks in on me frequently and responds to all of my communication quickly. When I write her, she touches on everything I have mention and leaves nothing out. I trust her and am happy to have her on this journey of self love with me.
Gail has been a wonderful counselor. She listed to my initial reasons for wanting counseling and was able to help me identify underlying worries while finding resources to encourage and empower me. Gail has been a bring light with her positivity and though our discussions has given me the relief and reassurance I needed for my impetus of change. She brings insightful life lessons, resources such as books, quotes, or activates that align with my personality and learning style. I am glad to be working with Gail and would recommend her to others than need guidance in changing their lives!
