About me

My philosophy for counseling is that the answers lie in you, the client. My role is to guide, educate, "cheerlead" and advocate. I have over twenty years of experience working with substance abuse, LGBTQIA, anxiety, depression, trauma, communication issues and relationships. My masters degree is from the University of Phoenix where I also teach in the counseling department for the last fourteen years, in person and and on-line. I utilize Rogerian, Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Choice/Reality theory, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused approach. The greatest joy I get from my work is to see an individual grow and discharge from counseling after achieving their goal. Essentially, my goal is to "put myself out of work" by empowering you!
