Gilbert Bell, LCSW
About me
Hello my name is Gilbert Bell with a combined experience of over 15-years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I combine evidence-based strategies with a compassionate, down-to-earth style so clients leave with both insight and practical tools. My passion is walking alongside individuals who are ready for something different, even if they’re not sure what that looks like yet. I work with individuals facing stress, anxiety, addiction, unresolved pain, or major life transitions, helping them find relief, balance, and a stronger sense of self
My style is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based strategies while keeping our work grounded and relatable, so sessions feel supportive but also actionable. Whether we’re addressing past wounds, navigating life transitions, or developing healthier coping strategies, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard.
Clients often walk away with both insight and tools they can put into practice right away. Together, we’ll work toward relief from emotional distress, greater self-awareness, and the confidence to take meaningful steps toward change. My goal is for every session to leave you feeling more resilient, more capable, and more hopeful about what’s ahead.

Dr. Bell is a phenomenal therapist. He listens deeply even while I talk a lot -- which I do! -- and asks probing questions that require deep reflection on my part. He always gets right to the heart of things. I've benefited greatly from his expertise after only a few sessions.

Gilbert Bell is compassionate and smart. He's a good listener and asks good questions. I feel supported by him, but also feel that he would be direct with me if he didn't think that what he was hearing was reasonable. betterhelp made a good match here, and I sincerely appreciate it. Thank you!
