About me
We've all had difficult experiences. These experiences can cause pain and suffering. I believe we can heal from these experiences and grow from them, becoming more of who we truly are and want to be. I have worked with a large range of life circumstances including anxiety, depression, medical illnesses, grief, self-esteem, LGBT and loss. In these painful experiences we all are faced with healing that pain. Through my academic studies, professional work and personal life experiences I have come to believe that healing is something which can be learned. My focus in counseling has been with individuals, couples and/or a group as a guide for people as they are healing through life.
Empowerment over life comes through thinking clearly and making wise choices. Unfortunately, problems can become so overwhelming that it is difficult to accomplish either one of these. We will focus on your goals and move at a pace that is comfortable for you. I can offer tools and suggestions for relief from many common and not-so common problems. I understand that a one-size-fits-all therapy approach is not always useful, so I will work with you to create personalized goals that fit with your experience.
As a committed provider of therapy, I take pride in offering the best care possible. I value all forms of diversity and encourage you to bring all aspects of yourself into our work together.

Heath has been trustworthy, intuitive supportive and effective at helping me discover where I had misguided beliefs that were not conducive to positive growth in my thought and emotional processing of life. He helped me see areas where I could improve and empowered me and gave me permission to discover and pursue these improvements. He was empathetic, understanding, and a great listener. I was blessed to find him and he helped my develop tools to approach life in a more functional manner.

Heath is my first and only therapy experience. He makes me feel comfortable and at ease and I leave every session with him feeling glad that I talked to him. He’s very personable and offers a variety of tools to help outside of the sessions. He does a great job remembering the things I tell him and bringing them up in later sessions to check in. I’ve learned so much with him and I attribute so much of my personal growth to my time with him. I highly recommend Heath.

Heath is a great therapist. He was a big help to me in my journey to not only return back to my normal self, but also to improve and be better equipped to handle life in the future. He is an active listener and is very knowledgeable.

Although I wasn’t able to continue therapy as long as I would have liked, I really enjoyed messaging with Heath. Sometimes we just need someone to listen and it was incredibly helpful talking to him for even just a short time. It was a gentle reminder of how much I need to invest in myself again, and how much I had been neglecting doing so since having kids. I definitely recommend him as your therapist and I hope that if I can return to Better Help, I can get matched with him again. Thank you Heath!
