Hi there and welcome to the first step in making a positive change. My name is Holly Abbott and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alabama and Georgia. I am also nationally certified as a therapist. I have ten plus years of working with people from all cultures. In the past, I have worked in the school system, private practice and with local agencies to help youth and adolescents, individuals and families. I have experience in working with a wide range of concerns and mental health issues, but a few examples are trauma/abuse, ADHD, anxiety/depression, Autism, relationships issues, grief/loss, parenting concerns and life changes.
I love people of all ages and backgrounds and feel that I have a calling to help anyone work through difficult times and situations. Showing compassion, acceptance and understanding are only a few of my qualities. I am easy to talk with and aim to create a safe and non-judging environment for you. My counseling approach ranges from cognitive-behavioral, solutions focused, trauma focused cognitive behavior and reality. However, I focus on the client and tailor what is necessary to help you accomplish your goals in therapy.
Welcome to the first step in making a positive change in your life. This is journey that I am committed to take with you as you seek to live a more happy, meaningful and fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you!

I have been going through counseling with Holly for stress & anxiety. This was my first time going to counseling & I had no idea what to expect. I was pretty nervous about it and unsure but Holly has been great! Holly is very easy to talk to and always responds so quickly. I highly recommend Holly.
Holly is amazing. She listens. She gives great advice on things to read and articles to help understand what I’m going through. She makes me feel heard and understood.
Holly Abbott is fantastic! I highly recommend her. She is very professional and personable. She is always responds in a timely manner and is very knowledgeable about her field. She is one of the few counselors I have had in my life that I connected well with. I am so very thankful!
Mrs. Abbott is very kind and understanding about my struggles. She challenges me about the things that I being immature about and I am grateful for that. She has been a great help to me and helped me gain a lot of perspective about myself and my goals.
Holly is a compassionate and caring person. I feel very supported by her and leave our calls either feeling better or provoked to dig deeper or think differently, which is exactly what I need. She has helped me tremendously, and I strongly recommend her.
Holly Abbott is such and amazing counselor! She is kind and caring but also honest. I feel so much better since I’ve been speaking with her.
Holly is great so far. I have just had one session.
This was my first time doing therapy and I was extremely nervous. She made me realize that I had absolutely nothing to worry about. It was like talking to a friend. I’m so glad I was matched with Holly! I would recommend her to anyone
Honestly, I've known I've needed to talk about my crap fro awhile. I've tried talking it out before, but it never felt...right. like, there wasn't a connection. It's different with Holly. I feel at ease, like I can joke, and she pushes me to actually confront what I'm trying to look at.
So far, I've had three sessions, but this is the most comfortable I've been talking about my trauma, and I've already started feeling better. My brain still don't work great, but I feel better. So, thank you, Holly.
Holly is a great listener and is very empathetic. Her advice is helpful. She has a great sense of humor and is very easy to talk with.
