About me

I specialize in therapy for children, adolescents, and families, with a particular focus on couples counseling. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University of New England and have 35 years of experience in psychotherapy. As a reality therapist, I believe that it is essential not only to discuss issues but also to create a treatment plan to address them. This often includes weekly homework assignments.

I am also a certified specialist in eating disorders and have effectively used biofeedback as a therapeutic tool. My training includes a focus on meditation, which I acquired in Okinawa, Japan, where I achieved a 9th degree black belt and teach Uechi Ryu karate.

He is extremely caring, makes sure to be real with me without judging me for what my take of situation are but also doesnt sugar coats how it can be received. He got me to open up serious trauma and people of conflict for me and is extremely respectful.

I have recently started working with James and he is helping me to understand why I am the way that I am. James is knowledgeable and explains things in a way that I can relate to my own experiences. I'm grateful for our sessions and I'm looking forward to making real changes in my behaviors. Thank you James.
