About Me

My name is James “Ryan” White. I am a licensed therapist in the state of Alabama. I have been a therapist for more than nine years. I have been licensed for almost 5 years. I specialize in dialectical behavioral therapy. Specifically, DBT informed therapy. What that means for my clients is real solutions to problems quickly using DBT skills. DBT skills allow you to better control and understand your emotions. These skills have worked wonders with my clients with depressive disorders, panic disorders, and PTSD. I specialize in personality disorders as well. Over the years I have worked with adults with mental disorders as well as substance abuse difficulties. I look forward to working with you and helping you to identify goals- so that you can look forward to life after whatever difficulties you’re having now . Remember whatever brings you here is just a chapter of your life it’s not the whole book. Let’s work together to rewrite your story so that you look forward to the days ahead.

Ryan helped equip me with skills to better communicate and advocate for myself. These are skills that will benefit my life presently and in the future. I’m thankful that Ryan is a part of this platform. He’s dependable, honest, and is passionate about his patients’ success. The mental health field needs more therapists like Ryan.

James has been awesome so far. I identify with his methods and the skills he gives you to cope with different situations you find yourself in. There is no judgement, which allows you to be open and honest. The only downside, is the cost. It’s not something I can afford every month. Which that has nothing to do with James though!

If you’re looking for a therapist that cuts the shit but will thoroughly listen to you, James “Ryan” is the perfect therapist and is more than qualified. During my first session, I had already gained a clarity I never had before and fully trust him because he is very honest and professional.

It's only been a couple of weeks, but I was pretty sad when I first reached out through my company's Employee Assistance Program. Working in a virtual setting because of Covid-19 is definitely different, but I felt comfortable right away with James to jump into some pretty deep stuff, and feel more hopeful than I have in a while. Concrete daily activities move me from one weekly session to the next, and I appreciate the sincere and focused help. I look forward to learning more about myself with Ryan's help.

James "Ryan" White is a phenomenal therapist who is gifted in this field. I've seen multiple therapist and none have possessed such keen insight, wisdom, perceptivity and intuiton. More importantly, he knows how to apply it practically to help devise workable solutions that lead to major progress in short time frames, which can offer hope to those who felt their prospects of healing were hopeless. He is certainly one of a kind, highly gifted and making an impact on human-kind through healing!
