I am a clinical social worker licensed in Connecticut with over 7 years of experience working with foster parents, adoptive parents, and birth parents. I have over 3 years of experience working as a clinician in an outpatient therapy setting. I enjoy working with individuals and providing support to promote positive change. I believe that therapy is a partnering process; we are equals on this journey together, learning from each other along the way. My approach is integrative and draws from attachment theory, systems theory, and cognitive behavioral theory. Janet is kind, neutering, understanding and trustworthy. Never judges and listens to your every concern and helps you learn ways that you can manage your problems . I would recommend her to any and all looking to participate in therapy!

Janet is an insightful individual who offers ample space for me to speak and share my thoughts. She poses gently challenging questions which are suited to my personal situations and feelings. Her space is one that I trust, and feel completely safe sharing my innermost thoughts, completely judgement free.

Janet is very caring & has even reached out to me through the BetterHelp platform a couple of times after a session, to send me encouraging messages related to my very difficult situation.
These gestures are priceless to me. They really lifted my spirits & make me feel supported .
Thank you!

Janet creates a safe environment to share stories & events by keeping the conversation flowing and very open but also manages to address any underlying themes or issues she notices without being confrontational. I appreciate the fact that I feel like I'm chatting with someone I know vs clinically speaking to a licensed therapist.
