I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have experience working in both medical and psychiatric settings. I have worked with children, teens, and adults of all ages. I have been working in this field and providing counseling for about seven years. I mainly use a strengths-based approach as I am a big believer in someone being able to recognize the strength that she or he has. I also believe in the importance of healthy-living, as the mind relies on the body for good health and vice versa. I am also a certified personal trainer who believes in empowering clients to take a whole-body approach to their health. It is not easy to ask for help or recognize that you need help, so I value anyone who makes the decision to seek counseling. This has been a great experience. It’s only been a few sessions but I feel like Jasmine understands my thoughts and provides great feedback as well as suggestions for those thoughts. I’ve tried other types of online therapy and I feel like BetterHelp is a good fit! Jasmine listens and I don’t feel rushed when trying to get my thoughts out. I would most certainly recommend.
Jasmine and I started working together when things felt hopeless. Right off the bat, she gave me tactics to challenge my negative thinking patterns and rediscover my confidence; thanks to her help, I find myself returned to a more regular sense of self and prepared for future moments and situations that challenge me.
Jasmine took a thoughtful approach to her practice that always left me feeling heard, respected and validated. I would recommend her to anyone and only regret that an out of state move must end our sessions.
This is my first time doing therapy and I didn't really understand what it was going to be. Jasmine Owarish-Gross has been great in listening to me, understanding me, and helping me work through the issues I have been facing. Jasmine has been so helpful. It is my first time entering counseling and she is great at handling things as they come up in my life and helping me to deal with them consistently and effectively. She’s concerned about my physical and mental health and offers me support in all areas of my life from past to present. I find it easy to be totally honest with her and don’t feel judged or like my problems aren’t “real.” I think lots of times those who struggle with anxiety get made to feel like they are making a big deal out of small things, and she never makes me feel that way or is dismissive towards any issues. I look forward to our weekly sessions and know I can count on Jasmine to be there during the in between times if I need as well!
