Hello! My name is Jason Fox and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation in Tennessee (LPC,MHSP) I have 17 years experience in mental health. I practice primarily cognitive behavioral therapy. I focus on trying to teach people that we need to think and act better first in order to feel better. I have experience working in crisis and crisis supervision. I have worked with clients as young as 5 and as old as in their 80's. I have seen a lot of different things over the years and the most important thing to me as a therapist is to meet clients where they are at and to have a positive working relationship with them to help them get to where they are going.
It is often difficult to begin the journey of therapy and I am glad you are considering it. Most people come to therapy hoping to try and fix something in their life that does not seem to be working so well. I will work with you to try and discover what all is going on and how we can work together to help you be the best self you can be. I believe in focusing on building small, easy to learn coping skills and taking consistent baby steps towards your goals.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

I've been with Jason through several huge events in my life. He has helped me so much and I will always be greatful for the words of encouragement and advice he has given me. He truly helped me in some of my darkest days. And was there to celebrate some of my biggest blessings. He is truly an amazing therapist

Jason has been amazing. I have a unique situation with my partner and I needed someone to talk to. He understood the importance and stayed up late just to speak with me. He’s given me advice and has provided me with tools to work through what I’m dealing with. I’m so grateful for his understanding and help!

Jason is real and considerate. Very much to the point, but with empathy and care. Isn't afraid to show his own humanity, which makes the interaction genuine and fulfilling rather than being a simple session to just get through. He has helped me feel seen as a person and I highly recommend him.

Jason Fox is without a doubt the best therapist I've ever had the absolute pleasure of speaking with. I've had one therapist invalidate my trauma and one therapist who suggested I continue to live an unhealthy, drug-addicted life as long as it 'makes me happy.' Mr. Fox is a corrective mirror. He hears me, processes, and shows me the undistorted image I painted for him. My perspective is broken down and explained while searching for better options in my future. Mr. Fox has absolutely changed my life for the better.

Extremely friendly and understanding! Very likely to take any negative talk about yourself and "uno reverse card" on you to make you realize that there's no reason to be negative to yourself in the first place.

I started out with Jason several months ago when I was going through a serious life event. He was there for me, supportive and understanding, guiding me to the wisdom I already held within. He has been nothing but a blessing to my life and I hope he continues to bring that energy to others. If you’re lost, he’ll help you find a way out of the dark and into the light.

Jason is a fantastic therapist and a great fit for me personally. He is funny, personable, and has offered great insight in helping me with working through the issues that brought me to therapy in the first place.
Anytime I’ve had a question or concern between sessions he has responded in a timely manner with a valuable response.
I truly look forward to continuing to work with Jason. He has already helped me work through some things I’ve spent most of my life trying to understand or work through on my own.

He’s a great guy, helped me a lot. He genuinely wants to see me better and I like that
Written on Jul 23, 2021 after therapy with Jason for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, addictions, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, and intimacy-related issues
I think that one of the things that I appreciate about Jason is that he talks to me like a normal person, not in some put on role. Ive had therapists before who have seen me as a patient and though that is understandable I like being seen as more of a person than just a "customer". I appreciate the level of respect that Jason shows me.
