About Me

Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I have been married for 23 years and have 2 adult sons. I have been providing individual, marriage, and family counseling for 25 years in private practice, and other social service agencies. I have experience with a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger management issues, parenting, trauma experiences, and relationship conflicts. My approach to therapy is to be direct and honest with my clients. I will always incorporate what you think and how you feel into where we are going in therapy. Depending on what your treatment goals are, I use some different therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (CPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

My focus is to ensure you have a safe and protected place to share your experiences by building respect and honesty in all of our interactions. Therapy will move at your pace and distance to achieve your overall therapeutic goals.

I look forward to working with you.

Jennifer listens and is able to come at the situation from different angles and directions, a lot of time different from what I would have thought.

There is a lot of respect and care. I feel very confident with her help and guidance and therapy.

Jennifer has been a big help in my life. I felt like I couldn’t ever connect with any therapist and almost gave up on therapy till I found Jennifer. She is so kind and is so willing to listen to you. She cares about what you have to say and wants to help you through what ever you may be going through.

Jennifer is a very supportive listener and her warm style is very inviting. I appreciate her questions that help me slow down and think things through. She is an excellent therapist who has helped me learn about myself and how to deal with my family struggles!

Jennifer has been very helpful. She's insightful and supportive while still keeping me accountable for the things I need to address. If there was anything I'd change, it would be having a therapist in the same time zone as me but since I don't need to communicate at all hours of the day, the current situation isn't bad.
