About Me

Hello! My name is Jennifer Reynolds; I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Alabama with ten years of experience in the helping field. I have obtained my Distance Counselor Certification (DCC) to assist in providing knowledgeable and credible distance counseling sessions. I have been providing online counseling for almost two years. I have experience working with men, women, and LGBT clients in an array of settings. I love being an online counselor because it allows me to work with many different clients and they can do this from the comfort of their home, computer, or phone.

I have experience dealing with stress management, self-esteem building, anger issues, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, PTSD and trauma, substance abuse, parenting, and a variety of mental illnesses. I have worked in many settings: agency, private practice, and residential settings. I provide a person-centered attention and convenience for multiple sessions. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families in session. I believe in the solution-based, person-centered, mindfulness, and humanistic counseling approaches when working with clients. I want to help clients find acceptance and overcome the issues that are going on and will utilize the techniques and theoretical orientation that would work best for each. I have strong empathetic communication skills that help you feel validated in your feelings. Feelings are okay, and many times we get so wrapped up in what is going on which causes us to lose focus on self. I want to help clients regain peace, balance, and the happy place that may have been altered due to whatever has gone on.

Before I am a counselor, I am a person, and I treat all of my clients with empathy, respect, space, and support that they need to assist them in overcoming whatever hurdle that is present in their lives. I like to provide a safe, comforting, warm, and encouraging environment for all of my clients. I utilize communication that is person-centered, friendly, and not too clinical to assist in the change process. Change can be difficult, but I want you to feel safe throughout the time we work together.

I look forward to working with you.

Jennifer was there for me during a particularly rough time when I was dealing with high family anxiety and struggling to draw boundaries to protect my own emotional health. She's friendly, quick to reply and very responsive and has helped me tremendously.

Jennifer Reynolds has helped me so much in about a short amount of time. She replied quickly, and was easy to understand. She has made me think in a way that helps me be positive about myself and others around me. Even if I don't need this counseling anymore I will continue to pay for the sessions because I don't want to lose her counseling for when I seldom need her again. So, thank you for your help. I'm starting to feel better about life.

She shows that she is concerned for her client's welfare. She asks good questions and responds to messages in a timely manner. I have benefited from my therapy with her.

Jennifer is doing a great job asking the questions that need to be asked. She has really made me think about what I am trying to accomplish and will point out the things I need to look at more closely in order to understand my end goals.

Jennifer has been fantastic. She is really nice and fit perfectly for my personality. I'm independent and not real forthcoming, and Jennifer somehow put me at ease with her right away. I highly recommend this type of counseling if you have the busy type of life as I do but still need help. Jennifer is one I would highly recommend. She's helped a lot in a very short period of time with me.

Jennifer has been a great help for me so far. She is nonjudgmental and has my best interest at heart. She explains things very clearly and has a good sense of humor when it's appropriate. I'm grateful to have her as my counselor!
