About me

I am a psychotherapist licensed in both Texas and Kansas with over 12 years of experience working as counselor and supervisor of therapists. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also helped individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse; I have experience in community mental health- direct care working with people struggling with schizophrenia, bipolar and PTSD. I understand the workings of inpatient settings, from my experiences as a program manager at a private behavioral health hospital, and also serving as a senior financial counselor for a large specialty hospital. Lastly, I also appreciate the delicate balance of juggling a career, and managing the needs that come with autism and child rearing. Should you be seeking a therapist with direct insight to life with a special needs child, I would like the opportunity of consideration.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and solution focused therapy. Through our dialog, we will jointly formulate a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

From the most loving place in my heart, Jill is that bad b****. For 6 months she was a reliable rock to hear me out through my deepest emotional trenches and cheerlead me up into the light. She helped me to listen to my gut, advocate for myself and be that bad b****. I'm so grateful for her -- attitude, compassion, healing presence. I'm gonna go do me now !

Jill has been wonderful in so many ways! I'm very new to therapy, and she's made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to dive into any topic. Good or bad. I love how easy she is to reach and helps me stay consistent w/ my goals. Therapy shouldn't have such a bad "wrap" to it.

I can’t explain it in any other way than that I’ve been in and out of therapy for over ten years and my biggest hinderance was that I would never feel comfortable opening up, or rather it would take 4 sessions for me to.
Jill was the first to make me feel comfortable on session #1 I’m excited for the possibilities of therapy with her. For any that have struggled in the past please hear me when I say Jill will make you feel comfortable! Best wishes to everyone in their journey- Kevin
