About me

Hello! My name is Jody "Nick" Nichols and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 35 years of experience. After serving for seven years in the USAF at Little Rock Air Force Base, I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my graduate degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. When not counseling I enjoy being outside – hiking, bicycling, camping, outdoor sports and helping my wife with gardening. We relocated to NW Arkansas about 5 years ago and we love this area, where being outside is very popular.

I use many different therapy techniques such as Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Family Therapy. I have extensive experience practicing in multiple different settings, addressing a wide range of behavioral health issues and communication difficulties. I have learned that each individual is unique, and may require their own specific approach that best suits them. My ultimate goal is to help you gain insight, accomplish your goals, realize there is hope, and begin living in a way that is most healthy for you. I hope that each individual, couple and family might discover and learn to appreciate, enjoy and employ the special gifts, talents and abilities that God has carefully designed for each person. I would love to help you discover your full potential so that you may begin to live a more confident, peaceful and joyful life.

He was a great listener, and gave thoughtful advice.

Jody is a good man. He listens well, guides well, and doesn’t judge or give off a negative attitude towards any struggles you may have. He does a good job with helping with finding the root to addictions and understanding the cause of it so it doesn’t keep happening. He has helped me with career development and has encouraged me as a young person in the work force and encourages exploring the reasons for addiction or mental struggles to really put it into perspective. I would highly suggest Jody to anyone looking for help out of addiction or seeking a good listener that is experienced in counseling, experienced in life, and has a large amount of knowledge and structure to his sessions that are very helpful.
