I am a licensed professional counselor with 15 years’ experience treating a range of issues. I bring a warm and empathic style to my work, thus creating a space in which you, the client, can discuss the challenges you face while feeling heard, understood, and supported.
I help people do more of what matters even in the presence of difficult inner experiences. In our work together, we’ll look at the strategies you have been using to address your challenges, and we’ll discuss ways in which you can strengthen or expand your skills in order to act more effectively and flexibly in response to difficult situations, thoughts, and feelings.
The heart of my work involves helping you to learn new skills which allow you to break the grip of unwanted thoughts & feelings on your actions and your life.
As you build these skills, you learn to handle difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations more flexibly, thus opening a space where you become freer to show up to your life in ways that enhance vitality, meaning, and purpose.

Joe is incredibly supportive understanding and patient. He also sets up clear rules of engagement during sessions that helps create structure so we can focus on goals. He is an amazing therapist and I hope to continue working with him.

Joe has been fantastic to work with over the last several months. He has been my first introduction to therapy and I couldn't have hoped for a better guide. He's helped steer me from a very dark place in my life and I couldn't possibly offer him as much thanks as he deserves. He expertly blends theory with practice and has given me the tools to continue my mental wellness journey.

Joe is an incredibly compassionate therapist who utilizes active listening to ensure I feel heard and seen during our sessions. I rarely have a session where I am unable to tap into some deep emotional struggles and do quality processing on them. I've already seen key changes in myself after working with Joe for only a handful of sessions. I'll be happy to continue working with Joe well into the future.

Truly the best therapist I’ve ever had. Such a gentle and understanding soul, always trying to empathize while anchoring you to reality. Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of treatment methods and philosophies.
