About me

I am licensed in Connecticut with 32 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, & managing life transitions and challenges. I also have experience working with depression, grief, relationship concerns and personality/attachment style & characteristics. I have been on BetterHelp almost two years full-time, to pursue my original career dream to help others, individually, one client at a time. This comes after many years working in both inpatient and outpatient hospital and varied community settings, with diverse adult populations, serving in management and supervisory roles while always keeping my hand in clinical care provision -including during the pandemic.
I believe that you are the expert of your story: "the Narrator"--and I would be honored to help you as you narrate and navigate your life story. I operate from the perspective that you have many strengths and solutions within you that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
Lastly, I subscribe to the notion that with my active listening and sensitivity to the topics you bring to therapy, in a completely judgement-free zone, with some reframing, feedback, gentle suggestions and sense of humor when needed, together we can create a trusting working alliance that may assist you in your therapeutic journey! Thank you for taking the time to review my information.
Warm Regards,
Joeli

Joeli has completely helped me be a better individual. I think better help therapy has helped me all around and without it I don’t know where I would be. I’m extremely grateful for my therapist and better help therapy. I would recommend it to anybody and everybody and I have.

Joeli has a warm but firm and encouraging way with me. I especially wanted someone who could understand and appreciate my background and where I grew up andJoeli was able to incorporate that into her understanding of me.

Joeli is the most compassionate and kind therapist I have ever met. She has been helping me for almost two years now and I wonder how I ever lived without her. She has so much experience and knowledge. Together we've been able to deal with past and present issues. 10/10 Would recommend :)
