I have been providing counseling for about 25 years. I worked my first 10 years with the elderly population. For the past 15 years I have worked with all age ranges in a variety of areas. I meet my clients where they are, using Client Centered focus, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (cause & effect) of behaviors. I also use EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy) to assist with trauma. My clients are a critical part of my treatment plan development as my desire is to assist in their success - effectively working myself out of their lives. They learn the coping skills rather than dependence on a person to go from one crisis to the next.
Additional areas of focus:LGBT, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Sleeping disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Bipolar disorder, Coping with life changes, Aging and Geriatric Issues, Attachment Issues, BDSM, Kink, Alternative Sex Culture, Blended Family Issues, Codependency, Communication Problems, Control Issues, Eating and Food-Related Issues, Family Problems, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Impulsivity, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Post-traumatic Stress, Prejudice and Discrimination, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Self-Love, Sexual Assault and Abuse, Sexual Dysfunction, Sexuality, Social Anxiety and Phobia, Workplace Issues

Joyce is the best therapist I've ever had. She made me feel so at home and welcome to share who I am. She made a personal connection with me and shared her stories, giving me insight and making me feel like I wasn't alone. She gave a warm and maternal energy and had a great balance of both supporting and challenging me. She offered me guidance and worksheets if I wanted more homework, and she checked in on me throughout the week with thoughtful messages. She goes above and beyond at what she does. Thank you, Joyce!
