My name is Julie and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Missouri and I’d love to partner with you to feel well and be well! Let's nourish your soul and find healing with the practices I’ve implemented from the wealth of wisdom I’ve gleaned from decades of challenges related to health, relationships, and loss. From the unexpected loss of numerous loved ones, the end of intimate relationships, unmet expectations and chronic illness we can go from misery to mastery, bitter to better, and find some nuggets of joy in the journey. It's not easy but YOU are worth investing in! It takes time but let’s find peace, balance and contentment *in the midst of* crazy times. Life can really be tough and there's not a lot of easy answers to many challenges. While I find DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), mindfulness and faith in general to be very useful for many people I'm honored to help find the best approach for YOU in coping with life's curveballs, managing long seasons of hardship, and finding hope in the most difficult issues we may face. Particular interests of mine include travel, nutrition, movement, parenting struggling children, caregiving, social and environmental justice, race relations and finding the aspects of faith that are helpful while discerning what doesn't serve you well.

Julie is a very kind person and is someone that feels very easy to talk to and open up with.
I started seeing Julie recently and she is such a calming presence in my life. She is an amazing listener and provides me with excellent advice and understanding. I really appreciate my sessions with her and always end our sessions feeling confident and most importantly, relaxed. Thank you for everything Julie.
Julie is awesome. She great to talk to and she very supportive.
I really feel like she cares and offers genuine advice and support!
Julie is a rare find. Skilled, caring and actually listening!
Julie is a wonderful listener- extremely caring- there is always at least 1 take away from each session that I needed to hear. I love the way she has a heart opened to not just me but all those who I may mention in our time together.
She’s incredibly thoughtful, compassionate and reminds me to consider myself
Over the first two weeks Julie really helped me primarily through texting and responding to my messages. And we had our first phone call and it was really incredible to be able to relate to someone who knew exactly what I was dealing with and helps me focus on the things that I need to really focus on. At the end she spoke some words to me that I will forever be grateful for and she knows what I’m talking about, and because of that I will definitely be reaching out to her whenever I need anything going forward. I am thankful for Julie!
Best person I've known so far.
Julie has been essential in my most recent menta health battle. Her experience with a similar situation has been worth more than I can express.
Julie offers a nice perspective
I would strongly recommend Ms Julie Burr to friends
I’ve been too busy to engage much the last week, but Julie has been wonderful! She is very thoughtful and insightful in her responses, and has already given me a couple insights I hadn’t considered before. She responds very quickly. Even though I haven’t been consistent in logging on, she sends a message wishing me a good weekend, etc. to check in. I will be applying myself a little more now! Julie is warm, kind, and I already feel very comfortable with her.
Julie was extremely helpful in a really rough time of my life.
My communication has been brief mainly because of my demanding schedule but she is cooperative and very knowledgeable.
Julie is a very caring person and non judge mental .
Julie has listened and offered different ideas or techniques to help me. She cares for her clients.
