About Me

Hi there!!

My name is Kacey Ardoin, and I am a clinical social worker licensed in Louisiana and Utah. I have been practicing in the social work field for 8 years. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Georgia, and then went on to pursue my Master of Social Work degree with a clinical concentration. I have worked with clients in multiple settings, but most recently have focused on depression and anxiety. My work has been focused on helping people overcome depression and anxiety, especially as it relates to improving their overall health (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). One of my greatest passions is suicide prevention, especially working with survivors of suicide loss. I also have a passion for helping people suffering with addiction and substance abuse, and seeing them reach the other side of their struggles.

My counseling style is empathetic and person-centered. I believe everyone deserves to be heard and treated with mutual respect. I align with a person-centered, solution-focused therapy model, while also using cognitive-behavioral therapy and reality therapy techniques. I am also certified as a Problem Solving Treatment Practitioner. I especially enjoy working with people who are ambivalent about making a change in their lives, and I utilize motivational interviewing techniques when possible. If you are feeling stuck, there is a reason - and I would love to work through that with you!

Whether this is your first time in counseling or your hundredth time, I believe you have the power to break down whatever wall is standing in your way today. It takes strength to reach out for support, and for that, I want to congratulate you!

Thank you for your time!

Kacey has always been a quick reply when I've had to message her. Our sessions are always really good and I usually feel better when I get done with out sessions. She's given me many tools to use to help me get through my anxiety and trauma. She's given me good coping mechanisms to get through some of the more challenging times.

Kacey is the sweetest person I've ever met. She truly helps me understand my thoughts and work towards changing them! She's such a light.

Kacey is wonderful. She has been listening and empathizing while still providing great Socratic questions as guidance so that I can see the issues more clearly. I feel safe to talk about anything.

Written by C.A. on May 17, 2022 after therapy with Kacey for 1 year on issues concerning stress, anxiety, family conflicts, grief, parenting issues, anger management, and coping with life changes

Kacey has been a wonderful therapist for me, in good times and in bad. She has challenged the way I view myself, encouraged personal growth, and consistently showed compassion during a really hard time. I have always felt validated, seen, and understood, without feeling like I had to work really hard to explain, and without being made to feel small or silly. I could not have asked for a better therapist, and I can't say enough about how much she has done for me!

Kacey is amazing. She's very kind and makes me feel like I'm really being heard. I had initially left BetterHelp after my EAP ended. But her style, along with the setup of BetterHelp (being able to do chat and video calls) made me want to come back! Kacey is the best therapist I've worked with, hands-down!

Kacey is one of the most attentive and supportive therapists I've worked with. It is always a little hard trying to find a new therapist that is the best fit for you, and I was very lucky to work with Kacey. She not only pays attention but listens to the real issues, the ones that are often unsaid, left out, overlooked, or undiscovered. She has helped me coax my own answers out into the open and in turn, helped me grow.
