About me

Hello, and welcome. I am primarily an emotional release therapist, but have training in CBT / DBT / EFT and other modalities... I have worked as a therapist for public mental health facilities for over 7 years, and have worked with psych hospitals exclusively for the last 8 years, but I miss having direct contact with clients, vs working behind the scenes on their behalves.

I have worked with a wide range of clients, from ADHD to OCD to just about everything in between, but my favorite populations are hoarders, those with depression, and people who have suffered serious trauma, such as first responders, or victims of trauma. My favorite technique to use is one that combines the CLIENT'S FAITH BASE (belief in a higher power, prayer), with some ENERGY WORK. It is effective and quick, and most of the people I've worked with have seen resolution within 1-3 sessions. Please bear in mind, that you may need longer than that, based on your trauma and duration, but as this is so quick and effective, It's my preferred method for getting you up and out of the trenches so that you can start approaching your life from a more balanced standpoint. Once your "stuck" points are worked out, then we can continue therapy from a more educational standpoint, where you'll learn techniques, strategies and skills.

Welcome.... I'm glad you're here.... Let's get started....

Ms. Kari is a breath of fresh air! It’s like I’m confiding in a friend versus a therapist. She is so easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, her advice is practical and helpful…I am beyond grateful that I was matched with her!

I always feel supported and heard and am provided with a variety of coping strategies to use in so many different scenarios. I feel so much more myself and confident in my social interactions and communications with friends and family now and Kari has also encouraged me to grow in my own self confidence and become a better friend to others too

I am a highly trained and experienced psychotherapist and have practiced for over 50 years. Kari is EXACTLY the therapist I need right now. She is caring, attuned, and engaged. She has given me counsel, support, and alerts in a timely and effective way. I recommend her highly. Her work is Rogerian in nature, following Carl Rogers.

Kari is an excellent therapist. She is sensitive to my needs and responds with helpful information. She is always kind and, yet, very professional! My situation has improved significantly, thanks to her help!

Absolutely love Kari, who I started out with desperately avoiding most socialising and who has helped me get back out there and who is also willing to talk to me about all manner of things I fear others would find weird, boring or too severe.

Kari listens tremendously well & nudges me to keep pushing forward, to keep making achievable daily goals! Small steps but mighty acceptance, awareness & action! My life has changed drastically since I started therapy with Kari! Still a long way to go but I have the hope and faith needed along with my therapist to conquer anything! I’m thankful everyday for therapy, the simplest things in life like showing up make a whole difference!
