About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with a variety of populations. My main areas of expertise include caregiver stress, grief, anxiety, phase of life transitions, and aging/geriatric issues. I take a collaborative approach to counseling where we incorporate both the skills and knowledge I’ve developed in my career and the experiences, values, and priorities that you bring to the partnership. I rely heavily on interventions based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I am comfortable counseling from a Christian perspective when requested however it is not my standard approach.

Most people describe me as calm, relaxed, approachable, and when appropriate, good for a laugh:) It’s important that my clients know that I will be respectful of their lives and experiences and have a strict “no judging” policy. When working with me, you will be respected, supported, encouraged, and challenged. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and help you to achieve your goals. - Kim

Kimberly is kind and warm. She listens well and offers feedback in a non-judgmental way. She also recommended helpful resources and checked in with me during the week. I would highly recommend Kimberly.
