About me

You can expect a compassionate and loving witness. I bring with me not only my education and experience but a genuine curiosity about who you really are and how you view the world around you. I will ask you questions to understand what is not working for you, and I will work with you to make things better. Sometimes I might challenge you, but in a caring and helpful way.
When I work with you, my work is not over when the session is up. I put a great deal of thought and consideration into my clients behind the scenes. I will do whatever is necessary on my end to help you figure it all out.
It is so exciting to see someone overcome obstacles, and create the life they really want. I have seen miracles happen!

SPECIALTIES
Besides specializing in helping people (adult individuals, couples, teens, and children) heal their relationships, I also have expertise in helping people heal from trauma.

Symptoms of trauma and PTSD can be debilitating. I’ve been there. You feel alone, and like no one could possibly understand what your going through. Trauma can come in many forms: emotional, sexual, or physical abuse, a sudden unforeseen incident, bodily injury, or even a serious betrayal by a loved one. Using researched-based interventions, I will allow you a safe and supportive environment to share your story, and help heal your wounds.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
There are many things that led me to this work. To be honest, one of the main things is my personal struggle with trauma and anxiety, along with other major life obstacles. But I have found that my struggles have only helped me to identify and understand my clients so much more.
My education and experience have made me into the therapist I am today. My graduate work in psychology and marriage and family therapy at California Lutheran University is only part of what I bring to my therapy practice. I have been fortunate enough to have had such rich and diverse experiences that I draw from everyday. Whether working with homeless youth, couples in crisis, or traumatized children, I have been exposed to, and have developed a deep respect for the human experience.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kimberly Sampson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I've been using Better Help for about a month now. I was apprehensive at first to find the right therapist via survey questions, but I think I lucked out with Kimberly! I feel safe in our sessions to open talk about whatever I need to. As always I think part of our success has been open communication on both sides. I'm just glad I found the right therapist on the first try!

Kimberly Sampson is an absolutely amazing person. From the beginning, she has engaged with my in a timely and efficient manner and is very supportive of my mental health journey. She makes herself available for live chats and video chats as well. Normally when I send a message, she replies quickly. I couldn’t ask for a better counselor.
