About me

Hi! My name is Kirsten!
I am a qualified counsellor based in the UK!
Taking the first steps to seek help and admitting you need support, is often the hardest part of the journey, being in therapy can be a daunting task, but I am here to listen, I have 5 years of experience as a counsellor and 15 years of experience of working with young adults with behavioural and learning difficulties.
What you are experiencing doesn't make you "weird" or "unlovable", it makes you a human, and as another human, I am here!
I work in a person-centred, integrative approach, which for me, guides me to help you find your own way, gently challenging you to consider your reality and question, what is really going on here?
I endeavour to adapt my skills to fit each individual as an individual!
I hope to be approachable, non-judgmental and a calming person to be around. I have experience working with Victims of crime- Sexual, domestic and substance abuse, along with many others!
I have lived a full, eventful life up to now, and because of my own experiences, I hope to make even just one person feel less alone in this world! I am easygoing and understanding with others facing difficult times.
My goal as a counsellor is to sit with you in your darkest hour, shoulder to shoulder and humbly help you to help yourself find a flashlight (when you're ready).
I look forwards to speaking with you!

My therapy sessions with Kirsten are very helpful indeed. She listens carefully and always understands how I feel and gently guides me to understanding myself and helps put things in perspective. She gives me good advice about how to cope and find solutions for things that are worrying me.

Great at breaking down how actions and/or words can be percieved by others. Gives insight into childhood experiences and how they might have instilled certain traits or learned behavours. Never judgmental, always understanding.

Kirsten makes me feel safe and heard, and often gets right to the heart of the matter without me realising she was leading me there. She's a pro and super sweet with it, too!
