About me

I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in California in 2018. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014. I have worked in the field of Behavior Analysis for over 12 years, specializing in treatment for those diagnosed with Autism and other developmental delays. In addition, I have worked with adults with a variety of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, anger management, ADHD, parenting challenges and life changes.

My counseling style is warm, collaborative and supportive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused and humanistic. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I believe in focusing on the here and now and working together on solutions to improve your mental health and quality of life. Your therapy is a team effort and I am here for you.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Written on Feb 20, 2024 after therapy with Kirsten for 3 years and 5 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, lgbt, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, self esteem, anger management, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue

Kirsten is an incredible therapist. She has done a great job of helping me focus on the present moment, and what I need to do to make myself happier now. She has given me so many tools that I can now use by myself to cope in different situations. She listens and gives honest feedback. She also connects me with resources that she thinks could be helpful. I am so glad that I got connected with Kirsten and I see visible improvements in my mental health.
