About me

**Currently only available during daytime hours **

I am a licensed counselor in Missouri with over 6 years of experience. I specialize in trauma, crisis, and substance use but have been fortunate to work with clients with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, bi-polar, relationship issues, eating disorders, abuse, domestic and sexual violence, behavior modification, ADHD/ADD and more.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines person centered, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing and solution focused counseling. I am also trained in EMDR and have been very fortunate to help many clients through this technique. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

My availability to respond to messages and sessions varies per day and I am fortunate enough to be able to be flexible with my client's schedules.
If you don't find a time that works for you, please let me know and we can work together to find a time that works. I encourage all of my clients to book a live session so you have my undivided attention whether it is a video, phone or chat session. As we all lead busy lives, I respond to messages as soon as I can and often between live sessions.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Kristi has provided some much needed structure in my otherwise chaotic life. She's been really good at keeping me grounded during a time where everything seems to be constantly changing.

Kristi is the perfect balance of professional and relatable. She is encouraging and challenges me. Even when I enter a session with a heavy heart or confused mind, I leave the session feeling lighter and clearer. She is respectful always and I feel safe sharing myself with her. She provides great feedback and insight, but she does so in a way that allows me the opportunity for self discovery. I look forward to every session.

Just knowing I get to talk to Kristi gives me so much peace. I feel like she’s really changed me and how I go about my daily life, from how I think of myself to how I work my way through situations. I’m so grateful to have connected with her through BetterHelp.

Kristi is fantastic. Down to earth. Solid advice and situational awareness. Really wants to help without over-doing all the "now" things. Has great vision and really empathizes. I feel very confident in her practice.

Kristi has been so helpful with my mental health journey. She's there for me when I have tough situations and listens wholeheartedly. Her compassionate nature allows me to feel entrusted in her care. She provides educational resources to better help with the process, and she is very consistent. I greatly appreciate all that she's done for me thus far, and I look forward to continuing the build of our professional relationship!
