About me

Hi, my name is Kristi Skeem and have been in Counseling for over 13 years. I have worked with very diverse populations from those who are affluent and influential; and everyone in between. I have worked many years providing counseling in correctional institutions, mental health agencies, and drug/alcohol agencies. I also am a conference speaker for public and private settings and events.
I have walked along side of those in the counseling realm that have made life choices and/or committed crimes that shattered their life and others as well. We walk together each week, picking up life pieces, and using the strengths that are still within them; and starting a new life.
I have also worked with very affluent individuals who are working and serving in high levels of our society, those who are high level officials in prominent roles, that struggle as other do with anxiety, stress, and transitions. I have worked with stay-at-home moms who are both winning and losing and experiencing feelings of both in their circumstances. Everyone has unique issues based on their personal circumstances, but also unique gifting and personal strengths that will help them to preserve through. I typically use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to brief counseling to tackle life dilemmas. My treatment approach of cognitive behavioral therapy offers empowerment to individuals to take back control of their life, first through their thoughts and beliefs, then their feelings and actions; living the life they want. I personally have a licensed in mental health/school/ and addiction counseling. I also am almost completed with my doctorate in Business with an emphasis in Industrial /Organizational Psychology. I see my role here with you as a place of service, and I LOVE helping others through their circumstances, with what I have learned in my training over the years.

She is a great listener

Kristi is great. She really listened and tried her best to help with the myriad of issues I was hoping to tackle. She let me go at my own pace but made sure that we never left something on the back burner, and addressed everything we could during our sessions. I really enjoyed my time with her.
