Hello! My name is Kristin and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (with Mental Health Service Provider designation) in the state of Tennessee. I received my Master of Education degree, specializing in Mental Health Counseling, in 2013. My personal background consists of surviving domestic violence and narcissistic abuse. I have been providing individual counseling since 2012, with an empathic and validating focus on the individual. I am LGBTQIA+ and Gender Accepting and Affirming. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and perspectives. I do not provide counseling from a Christian based perspective. I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and many trauma informed techniques, which I pull from to create an eclectic therapy experience. Former clients have told me that I really listen, and am highly sensitive to their concerns, which are the highest compliments that I have ever received. I find joy in assisting my clients with alleviating trauma symptoms, recognizing harmful family patterns and uncovering individual strengths. My "niche" is working with highly sensitive people who have experienced narcissistic abuse to help them cultivate a sense of self and create inner safety. Therapy is at your pace since proper healing is not on a timeline. We will work together to uncover deep rooted trauma, staying sensitive to your healing needs.
Per state licensing regulations, I am only able to practice in the state of Tennessee, with residents who physically reside in the state of Tennessee. This means that if you are on vacation in another state, we cannot begin counseling services until you are physically back in the state of Tennessee. BetterHelp is not a crisis platform or replacement for crisis services.
For Crisis in Tennessee: call 855-274-7471 or text “TN” to 741-741. If you are in need of housing and other immediate assistance, please reach out to your local county department for social services, or other community resources. Please keep this in mind when choosing me as your therapist.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kristin Money. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I didn't know therapy could be so helpful so quickly. Feeling so hopeful for future sessions.
Kristin provides such great perspective and insight, in a way that is also uplifting and empowering. Grateful for her!
Kristin and I have an excellent rapport. She's thoughtful, knowledgeable, and empathetic while knowing where to set and define boundaries. I am very lucky to have been paired with her.
Kristin listens very well to your concerns. She is compassionate and insightful, and I would recommend her to anyone who thinks they might want to talk to someone about their problems.
Kristin is wonderful at listening to your worries and helping you walk through them. I figured in therapy I would need someone to tell me how to change myself to get better but instead we just discuss the problem and Kristin guides me. She is helping me to learn that I have the ability to work through my problems on my own. I just needed to learn to ask myself questions. Kristin is phenomenal! Please give her a try.
Kristin is an excellent listener, she asks very insightful/helpful questions, and her knowledge of mental health is very extensive. I felt great relief after getting matched with her because I’ve finally found a counselor who is a good fit for me.
I really appreciate Kristin's compassionate listening and guidance. I feel very comfortable expressing myself in a space that's judgement-free. I would definitely recommend Kristin to anyone looking for a supportive counselor.
I have been seeing Kristin Money for several months now. She has helped me tremendously in my growth. I’ve been in counseling for about 8 years on and off and she’s been my favorite. She’s wonderful.

Kristin is fantastic, I am new to therapy and she makes me feel at ease and heard. She provides incredible insight and perspective. I feel lucky I was matched with her.
Kristin has helped me overcome alot of problems. She is so understanding and helps by having me come at things from a different perspective. She honestly has made more open to putting myself first and saying its ok to not be ok. Love her positive attitude!
I am so grateful for Kristins ability to truly see you. She listens and pinpoints the things you all want to work on well I’m glad I get a chance to work with her.
Kristin and I haven't been talking long but she makes it easy to just talk about issues in my life.
Kristin is so kind, thoughtful, and accurate. I was hesitant to start over with a new counselor after a negative experience, but I am so glad I did.
