About me

I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for over fourteen years. I enjoy helping individuals, couples and families improve communication and find unique solutions to achieve their goals. I have previously worked in school-based therapy and private practice. I have experience working with couples, individuals, teenagers, young adults and Veterans. I am originally from southern California and graduated with my Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. Before that I graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology where I also played varsity football. I currently live in Indianapolis with my wife and three children. In my free time, I enjoy sports, comedies, and spending time with my family.

I was very nervous starting therapy, but Lamar makes it a safe space and something while difficult I enjoy doing.

It’s early only my 3rd session but I’m very happy with Lamar thus far … really is attentive and i really like how he textes throughout the week and just checks in on Me …that lets me know it’s just not about the hour sessions that he is actually invested

Lamar is a good counselor. He is usually available when I contact him. I originally asked for a female to feel more comfortable but I said I would try him out. Lamar is very easy to talk to and it’s like talking to a really good friend that is genuinely concerned about me.
