Laura Chilson, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma with 4 years of professional work experience as a therapist. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in mental health settings as a social services specialist, life coach, and in education as a school counselor. Because I desired to promote lasting change and greater impact, I pursued my therapy license, which required a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling, successful completion of the National Counselor Exam, and 3000 clock hours of supervised experience.
I have experience in helping clients and families with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse recovery, relationship and parenting issues, depression, and coping with life changes. Working with BetterHelp has also given me opportunity to help with addiction recovery and maintenance. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and goals to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking steps to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage. I am here to support you in your journey.
