About me

My name is Leah Farah and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offering virtual therapy sessions all across the state of Florida. I work with adolescents and adults from all walks of life. I am experienced with treating a variety of life concerns including self-esteem issues, anxiety, family concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and depression.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength based, and trauma informed. I use an integrative approach that is tailored based off of the needs of my clients and what may work for them. My therapy style draws from Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Midfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. My experience is varied across settings, as I have provided individual and family therapy as well as case management services in community mental health agencies and school settings.

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I believe that therapy is a tool for self-exploration and finding the meaning behind events in your life. I use a collaborative approach to developing goals and tackling issues. Although addressing goals set-forth in therapy is important, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the strongest indicator of success in a therapeutic setting. I would like for my clients to always feel like they are being heard and that they are my priority while we are working together.

It takes courage to be vulnerable in a therapeutic setting. I aim to work with all of my clients with the upmost respect as I honor the position that I am placed in, in being trusted to develop a therapeutic relationship and working together towards a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to support and empower you!

I am incredibly grateful for my therapist and the positive impact she has had on my life. She is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also one of the most compassionate, understanding, and inspiring women I have ever met.

Working through trauma can be one of the most difficult and vulnerable experiences, but she has consistently provided a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space for me to share my story. No matter how heavy or complex the topics are, she listens with genuine empathy, patience, and care. I have always felt heard, validated, and respected in our sessions.

What truly stands out is her ability to adapt to each conversation and meet me where I am emotionally. She thoughtfully adjusts her approach based on my needs, helping me process difficult experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and productive. Her insight and guidance have helped me gain a deeper understanding of myself while building confidence and resilience.

She is a strong and inspiring woman whose dedication to helping others is evident in everything she does. Her encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering support have helped me navigate some of my most challenging moments and continue moving forward with hope and strength.

I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a therapist who is compassionate, attentive, adaptable, and truly invested in her clients’ healing and growth. I am deeply thankful for the difference she has made in my life.

I’ve struggled to find a therapist who truly understands me and my perspective. I’m looking for someone who isn’t just focused on making money and who doesn’t quickly dismiss my concerns or offer generic solutions.

Leah has exceeded my expectations. She genuinely understood my situation and has consistently checked in to ensure I’m doing well.

I wasn’t sure if video call therapy would be effective, but it’s been absolutely amazing. I’m forever grateful to BetterHelp and Leah.

While all the therapists I've met with through Betterhelp have been beneficial, I am beyond grateful to have found and connected with Leah. She's helped me determine unhealthy thought patterns and provided me with proper tools to positively impact my relationship with myself and others. I leave each session feeling better and more prepared to move through conflicts. Leah is smart, kind, and a professional through and through.
