Leah Farah, LCMHC
About me
My name is Leah Farah and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offering virtual therapy sessions all across the state of Florida. I work with adolescents and adults from all walks of life. I am experienced with treating a variety of life concerns including self-esteem issues, anxiety, family concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and depression.
My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength based, and trauma informed. I use an integrative approach that is tailored based off of the needs of my clients and what may work for them. My therapy style draws from Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Midfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. My experience is varied across settings, as I have provided individual and family therapy as well as case management services in community mental health agencies and school settings.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I believe that therapy is a tool for self-exploration and finding the meaning behind events in your life. I use a collaborative approach to developing goals and tackling issues. Although addressing goals set-forth in therapy is important, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the strongest indicator of success in a therapeutic setting. I would like for my clients to always feel like they are being heard and that they are my priority while we are working together.
It takes courage to be vulnerable in a therapeutic setting. I aim to work with all of my clients with the upmost respect as I honor the position that I am placed in, in being trusted to develop a therapeutic relationship and working together towards a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to support and empower you!

Leah is AMAZING! Not only is she incredibly kind and respectful, but she also has great insight surrounding different issues. She listens to everything I have to say and gives genuine feedback on what she hears. She is great at pointing out what we can work on to improve my situation and helps me get into a better headspace. I think Leah is a GREAT therapist and a great person, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Leah is very open - minded and welcoming. She has a considerable bulk of experience behind her, but is also willing to stretch a bit for an individual's more particular set of issues. I specifically have considerable problems with sexual addiction that I need to work on, and while Leah is more of an intimate relationship counselor, she was more than happy to bend a bit and attempt to translate her skills in this area into some helpful cognitive therapy for me.
Leah is fair, honest, an active listener, and offers solid advice and suggestions. Highly recommended!

Leah has been such a great help because she genuinely listen and doesn’t tell you what to do but helps you resolve the issue with her help which I like a lot and help me tremendously. I would recommend her to anyone who is really ready to open up and make a positive change.
