I have only been working with Dr.Whatley for two weeks but it has been great so far! She’s very knowledgable in the areas where I need help and has recommended great resources to help me educate myself and develop tools. The modality of having brief messaging daily has actually really helped streamline the therapeutic journey for me! Dr. Whatley always has worksheets and thoughtful questions to help further open up discussions and examine root causes and remedies. She’s a wonderful therapist and would highly recommended her to anyone need to work through similar issues.

Written by M.A. on May 21, 2019 after counseling with Lori for 11 months on issues concerning addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, and self esteem

I liked Dr. Whatley from the beginning. In the very first session she listened to me and understood me.

But, most of all, she showed plenty of knowledge concerning my problem. Later, during my sessions, she suggested me many books, all of them were very important to me.

She also make me believe in myself and made me believe that my problem had a solution.

I am very grateful to Dr. Whatley. I will be thankful to her for ever.

Dr. Lori was absolutely amazing at understanding my needs as well as revealing to me how to think objectively about my issues. What I truly loved about this experience, is her method of counseling and she has taught me strategies to deal with my issues head on, instead of burying them and finding temporary solutions. I am healed in a way I could never even fathom to imagine and more than anything, equipped and rejuvenated mentally. I highly recommend her from the bottom of my heart.

Written by S.H. on Feb 22, 2018 after counseling with Lori for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, and career

I started out on BetterHelp looking to improve a few areas of my life to then improve my overall happiness. I've had some significant changes in my life recently and have found Lori to be someone I can vent to, share my feelings with and receive understanding from. I never feel judged.
This has all been great but the best thing I've gotten out of my time with her is being productive about the things I'm unhappy with. Instead of just talking about it and feeling sorry for myself, we are actively planning solutions to fix issues. Actively brainstorming and taking steps to create the life I want for myself and to enjoy focusing on, and being me. To me, this has been one of the best things I've done and I highly recommend Lori.

Written by C.O. on Jan 05, 2018 after counseling with Lori for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, trauma and abuse, grief, sleeping, and bipolar

She’s awesome. Gives me time to respond. She listens to me and responds with positive comments. She’s not the type to baby you and that’s what I like the most. She’s empathetic but doesn't dwell on it. She's very focused on the present and future. Helps with the past but moves at the pace that she thinks you can go. Lori is very very helpful in so many different areas.

Lori is great! I feel really comfortable and could honestly speak about anything no matter how absurd, deep or complex. She is sympathetic, sensitive, non judgmental and really helpful in a practical way that gets results. This promotes change quickly.
She offers great insight and is heartfelt but offers you tools to implement into your life with ease, is continually there to support you through those changes and offer encouragement.
I have been able to implement her advice quickly and with the guidance and support needed to make a better life. I highly recommend Lori.
